The Tyndall Community Foundation, established September 1, 2008,
has been holding regular meetings with a Board of eight members, one of which is
a youth representative from the community. A “thermometer” sign, donated and
installed by members of the Board, was placed prominently on Main Street to show
the increase in contributions. The Tyndall Development Corporation donated funds
to start the local administrative account. A logo was adopted using the replica
Eiffel Tower which stands in front of the Bon Homme County Courthouse. This logo
is used on all stationery. A brochure was developed and is included in letters
to possible contributors.
Currently, the Board is conducting a mailing campaign to alumni and friends of
Tyndall and discussing a fundraising project.
Pictures and press releases monthly in the local newspaper also are geared to
educate the community about the Tyndall Community Foundation and keep the
Foundation “in the news.”
